Information

General Meetings

We meet once a month in the 164th Hill area of Mill Creek.  Detailed meeting information will be given to prospective members who contact us at mothersofsouthsnohomish@yahoo.com.  Meets are one hour in length and may involve guest speakers, general socializing, or service projects for our current charity of focus.  Children are encouraged to play in the kid room, supervised by other moms.  Of course infants can stay with their moms.  We request all members volunteer as a room mother and to set up and clean up at a general meeting at least once a year.

Monthly Mom/Child Activities

Our monthly calendar is filled with activities during which our members can have their children learn, play and socialize, as socialize themselves.  Members are encouraged to email suggestions for activites to the Activities Coordinator.  Some activities may take place on weekends, some of these may be planned family activities or regular mom/child activities.  Mom's need to be present for dad's or other family members to participate.  Evites are sent out each month to allow mom's to RSVP.

Communication

Club information is announced by a monthly email newsletter and evite invitations.  We also have a private Facebook group for informal communication.

Playgroups

Playgroups are a set group of moms who meet weekly or on a schedule determined cooperatively by the moms in the group.  Playgroups are typically assigned based on your child(ren)'s age, but may also be based on location and your availability.

Evening Activities for Mom

Moms need time away with other women to renew themselves and to get to know each other without being interrupted by the needs and wants of our adorable children.  Our monthly Mom's Night Out is a chance for our members to gather in a variety of venues for just that reason.  Past nights out have included dinners at local restaurants, wine tasting,  themed parties (fondue, tapas, cocktail/mocktail) and chocolate making.

Take a Break

Whether it is a new baby, ill family member, or other circumstances, Take a Break is designed for members to support one another through services such as providing meals, helping with grocery shopping, or other general errands. Members are requested to volunteer for this at least once per year.

Special Interest Groups

We currently have a few special interest groups including morning and afternoon book clubs, and seasoned mom's a group for mom's whose children are older and in school.
